2014 Justice For All March

Saturday, December 13, 2014 was a gathering of more than 10,000 marchers representing a cross-section of ethnic diversity met a Freedom Plaza, then marched to the U.S. Capitol to raise their voices to Congress and the Judicial system that we are no longer going to tolerate the injustice against our innocent young African-American citizens that are constantly being brutalized by the police.

Rev. William H. Lamar, Senior Pastor of the historic Metropolitan AME Church and Rabbi Shira Stutman led a contingent of AME and Jewish marchers who gathered at Metropolitan to march together as a sign of solidarity against the injustice of the judicial system as it relates to our people.

Prior to departing from Metropolitan, the group was led in prayer by our 2nd Episcopal District Bishop William P. DeVeaux who also attended the gathering at Freedom Plaza along with Rev. Wendell O. Christopher (2nd District Social Action Chairman- Washington Conference) and other members of the Washington and Baltimore Conferences.

The march was organized by The National Action Network headed by Revered Al Sharpton in honor of Michael Brown, Eric Gardner, Jordan Davis, Sean Bell, Ramarley Graham-who were unjustly killed by the police and the police officers involved were not indicted or prosecuted.
THIS INJUSTICE MUST STOP TODAY!!!

Thanks Geoffrey Tate for great recap and pictures.
