Washington Annual Conference Men's Night


Men's Night featured Reverend Donald Smedley as the guest preacher, awarding the Young Man and Man of the Year from each church. Dr. Charles Curry was awarded the Bishop's Award for Community Service and Professional Service. We are so proud of our men! CONGRATULATIONS!





2015 Washington Annual Conference

April 22-24, 2015 Bishop DeVeaux convened the 65th Session of the Washington Annual Conference at the host church, Ebenezer AME Church-Ft. Washington, MD. We were favored by a riveting sermon by Rev. Harold B. Hayes, Senior Pastor-Hunter Memorial AME-Suitland, MD.

What an awesome time we had in praise and worship!! After being introduced by her husband Presiding Elder Ronald Braxton, Rev, Marie Braxton tore the roof off the church as as brought forth a powerful message!

Lay Witness Service-Washington Annual Conference


We were favored bt a Harriet Tubman, Birmingham Four Little Girls, Richard and Sarah Allen re-enactment; dedication to the 50th Anniversary of the Selma March. The night concluded with guest speaker, Cornell William Brooks, President & CEO of the NAACP who is also an AME member of Turner AME. What a wonderful display of talent.

DMC-Washington Annual Conference

Ebenezer AME-Ft. Washington, MD. Pastors Rev. Drs. Grainger and JoAnn Browning served as the hosts of the 2015 Washington Annual Conference. Sunday convened the Debutante and Master's Commission celebrating our talented young people! Mt. Nebo AME Church-Bowie, MD served as the DMC host church under the pastorate of Rev. Dr. Jonathan Weaver.

YPD Annual Day-Washington Annual Conference

We had a wonderful day with our young people. New officers were elected. We enjoyed "Washington Got Talent" competition and recognition of the YPD high school seniors. We are so proud of all of our young people! The Lord's name be PRAISED!

Baltimore Annual Conference-YPD


This year's Baltimore Conference YPD was convened at Camp Ramblewood-Darlington, MD hosted by Presiding Elder and Mrs. Ernest Montague. From the Allenites to the young adults, there were 129 YPDers present. There were greetings by Atty. Wills (2nd Episcopal District YPD Director); D.Faye Conley (2nd District WMS President); and Dr. Pam DeVeaux, Episcopal Supervisor. Included was the election and installation of new YPD officers and conducting the business session in preparation for the 2015 Quadrennial in Indianapolis, Indiana.  We were favored by a powerful sermon by Rev. Anthony Radcliff-Senior Pastor of Poplar Grove AME-Greensboro, NC.  The event concluded with activities for all age groups represented. Special thanks to the staff of Camp Ramblewood for their gracious hospitality in hosting the event.

Seven Last Words-Ebenezer AME

Bishop DeVeaux and Dr. Pam were thrilled to hear their granddaughter Jordan DeVeaux, 14 preach her first sermon at the Youth Seven Last Words service at Ebenezer AME. Each word was spoken jointly by ordained clergy and a young person. Jordan spoke on the first word Luke 23:24-"Father forgive them, they know not what they do." All the young people were excellent! What a wonderful time we had in the LORD!!




Seven Last Words-Union Bethel AME

Dr. Pam and grandchildren Alexis and Jalen attended the Seven Last Words on Good Friday hosted at Union Bethel AME-Brandywine, MD.  Featured among the guest preachers were Rev. Dr. Vanetta Brice who took the 3rd word John 19:26-27- "Woman, behold thy son" and Rev. Dr. Valdes Snipes-Bennett who took the 6th word- Joh 19:29-3- "It is finished."  We were also favored with a solo by Master Cameron Seawright, grandson of host Pastor, Rev. Dr. Harry L. Seawright.

Easter Worship

Bishop DeVeaux and Dr. Pam with grandkids Alexis and Jalen worshipped at Metropolitan AME Church  on Easter. As always the DeVeaux family was welcomed home with open arms by Senior Pastor Lamar and the congregation. Rev. Lamar preached from Ephesians 4:8-"To Hell and Back."
