Major Project: The "Celeste W. Duckette Book Award" is given to two 12th graders who, upon graduation, attend a school of higher education. Each CWD local Society submits one name, and we simply have a drawing. Qualifications are that the student has membership in the local church and in local church activities. We ask that the local WMS considers someone who has an average GPA, probably would not get a scholarship and someone in need. We believe that our young people need to know that others care! Additionally, we believe that our $500 Book Award (per student) demonstrates Christian love and well wishes for their success. This is one project I started when I became CWD Area Chairperson.
