Congratulations Rev. Jamal Bryant!

Rev. Dr. Jamal Bryant, Senior Pastor of Empowerment Temple- Baltimore, MD and a Baltimore native was honored with the John H. Murphy Award given by the AFRO Newspaper at a breakfast held at The Reginald F. Lewis Museum.  The award named after AFRO's founder, John H. Murphy,  Sr. was presented by AFRO Newspaper CEO-Publisher, John "Jake" Oliver, Jr. along with other proclamations and citations.

Pastor Bryant was most honored by the presence of family members, most notably, his mother, Supervisor Cecelia Bryant- 4th Episcopal District, wife of Senior Bishop John R. Bryant. Supervisor Bryant referred to Pastor Bryant as her "only begotten son."
