Turner Memorial AME WMS

On Sunday April 21, 2013 The Johanna Morris Women's Missionary Society celebrated its Annual Day at Turner Memorial AME in Hyattsville, MD. It was a wonderful celebration, as it was also Pastor William and First Lady Courtney Lamar's first Sunday back after the Washington Annual Conference. Ms. Selerya Moore served as Worship Leader and  Supervisor Dr. Pam DeVeaux brought forth the word, preaching from the subject: "When God Takes the Case." Also in attendance were Ms. D. Faye Conley, WCB/WMS President and former Washington Conference WMS President Ms. Oveta Butler. Several "unsung" missionary members were recognized for their tireless work in the church and community. The music was soul stirring and the praise was powerful!
