Founder's Day 2014

What a marvelous Founder's Day Celebration we had in the 2nd Episcopal District. The tremendous event started off with a powerful sermon by A.M.E. Historiographer,  Rev. Dr. Theresa Frye Brown. There was an invitation only fundraiser for the Episcopal candidacy for Rev. Dr. Harry L. Seawright.

Friday night featured "The Young Prophets", the brainchild of Episcopal Supervisor, Dr. Pam DeVeaux in an effort to spotlight up and coming young ministers. We were favored by riveting sermons fro Brother Mychal Brickhouse (North Carolina Conference); Sister Topaz Bryant (Baltimore Conference); Rev. Paul Evans (Washington Conference) and Sister Franshon Reid (Baltimore Conference). Oh those young preachers PREACHED!!!

Saturday concluded with a spirited sermon from Rev. David Morrison, Senior Pastor St. James A.M.E.- Fayetteville, NC. The sermon was preceded b a rousing violin rendition of "When Peace Like a River" by Rev. Morrison's talented grandson.
Glorious Dance! Talented Young Prophets!

Awesome Worship!!!

Praise Be to GOD!!
I've a message from the Lord--Hallelujah!!

We are richly BLESSED!! Proud to be A.M.E!!
