White House Black History Reception
On February 27, 2013 The First Family of the 2nd District attended the Black History Month celebration at the White House hosted by President Obama. Other attendees included: Phylicia Rashad, Hank Aaron, Magic Johnson and Rev. Al Sharpton. Guests dined on shrimp, salmon, veggies and an wonderful assortment of petite fours. President Obama delivered a rousing speech about Rosa Parks and our hope for the future!
