Martin Luther King, Jr. was born at noon Tuesday, January 15, 1929, at the family home, 501 Auburn Avenue, NE, Atlanta, GA. Dr. Charles Johnson was the attending physician. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the first son and second child born to the Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr. and Alberta Williams King. Although he only lived 39 years, he made a lasting impact on America through his unending dedication to the struggle for civil rights and equality for all mankind!
