Deliverance Conference 2013
One word for Deliverance 2013 held October 10-12, 2013-AWESOME!!!! The 2nd Episcopal District was the direct beneficiary of our blessed visionary--Dr. Pam DeVeaux and her capable team, led by Dr. Joan L. Wharton. Attendees, both adults and youth, were delivered from physical, spiritual and emotional barriers on powerful presentations and dynamic worship services. We had delicious cuisine, tag team preaching, and soul stir music during the 3 day event. Reid Temple AME Church under the leadership of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Lee P. Washington did a marvelous job hosting the conference! We are already looking forward to Deliverance Conference 2015!

Take Care Tuesday
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance to raise awareness about the importance of screening and the early detection of breast cancer.
About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point in her lifetime. After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common kind of cancer in women.
The good news? Many women can survive breast cancer if it's found and treated early. A mammogram--the screening test for breast cancer- can help find breast cancer early.
Make a difference! Spread the word about mammograms and encourage your loved ones, church members and friends to get involved!
Here are a few ideas:
- Ask doctors and nurses to speak to women about the importance of getting screened for breast cancer.
- Encourage women age 40 and older to talk with their doctor about when to start getting mammograms.
- Talk with women ages 50 to 74 in your community/churches about getting mammograms every 2 years.

Bethel AME Church is now in phase 2 to build a new church on the recently purchased 16 acres which allows for future development.
