Father's Day 2016

Bishop DeVeaux was the annual Father's Day guest preacher for St. James AME-Newark, NJ. The church is pastored by his son in the ministry- Rev. Ronald Slaughter. Pastor Slaughter is currently studying at Wesley Theological Seminary, pursuing a Ph.D.

There was a high time in praise and worship when Bishop preached from 2nd Timothy 2:1-4 on the subject: "Be Strong My Son". Bishop gave advice and instruction to men and young men Stir up the spirit of God, don't lay dormant. God will not send you where he will not go!

SPKSWW Luncheon- WNCC

Ms. Ronnise Owens served as the guest speaker who spoke on the subject "Living In A Glass House". Pastor Sony Wallace Blair, Founder and Senior Pastor of The Vision House of Hope Worship Center performed as the guest artist gospel comedian. The luncheon concluded with Dr. PAM installing the 2016-2018 SPKSWW officers.  Congratulations to All!

Scholarship Awards

Martin's Crosswinds (Greenbelt, MD) served as the host venue for the 2016 Luncheon where the Payne-Tanner Memorial Scholarship of Metropolitan AME Church awarded 9 scholarships valued at $2,000. Congratulations to our gifted scholars!

Women's Day

Dr. PAM was the guest preacher for annual Women's Day Service at New Creation AME Church. Her text was taken from Luke 5:16-17 with the message "Nobody Can Do Me Like Jesus". AMEN!

NC Conference Closing Service

The North Carolina Annual Conference concluded with a riveting sermon by Rev. John Paul Brown, Senior Pastor, Mt. Zion AME- Charleston, SC.  The scripture was taken from Matthew 5:38-41 with the message- "Neighbor, I've Got to Go the Second Mile". You want to succeed as a Christian, the secret to success lies in Matthew 5:41- going the second mile of the way! If you can't go the second mile, what are you good for? If you can't go the second mile you lessen the cost of Christ! You don't go the second mile for you, you go to tell the story of Christ!

NC Conference Men's Night

Rev. Horace Lawrence served as the guest preacher for Men's Night who spoke from Acts 16:25 on the subject, "God Can Turn It Around".  You can't do anything by yourself, learn to call on God whose on your side.  The night concluded with awarding the Man and Young Man  of the Year of the Northern and Southern districts and the Bishop's Award for Community Service presented to
