NC Annual Conference-Closing

The highlight of the closing service is always the ordination and commissioning. This year four new deaconesses, two deacons, and two itinerant elders were ordained. Bishop Vashti Murphy Mckenzie, Presiding Prelate of the 10th Episcopal District, served as the ordination preacher. Her sermon text was taken from Titus 2:1-8 on the topic- "Anyhow". Using an elevator analogy Bishop Mckenzie reminded the congregation not  to caught between floors. Don't let the circumstances of your community defeat your ministry. Be good, do good and make good--Anyhow! AMEN!!!

The preacher emphasized that one must be in shape to run the race for the Lord. What you put in is what you get out in order to have a strong finish! Awesome word.
